Cleansing
Cleansing is the first necessary step in your daily skin care practices.
Cleansing the face two to there times within 24 hours a day; is sufficient for normal skin care. If you have an oily skin, a more repeated cleansing i.e. four to five times in a day is essential. If you have a dry skin it is suggested to avoid recurrent washing and you may have to use an appropriate oily cosmetic cleanser in place of soap, which has a desiccated effect on your skin.
There are quite a lot of alternatives to cleansing with soap and water. Cleansers are available in many different forms such as creams, milks, gels, lotions, as well as liquids. All are, a combination of oil, wax along with water, which have been prepared to go with different types of skins. Cotton-pad rinsed in fresh milk accessible at home, is an equally efficient cleanser.
The exact method to apply cleansing creams on facial skin is to apply them in an upward and outer direction. The skin should not be stretched out or lugged. Leave the cleansing lotion on to the skin for a minute or two so as to undo the dirt as well as make up. Take it out either with the help of a cotton bud, again by moving in an upward and out ward direction. To finish, you can rinse with water.
Masks
In essence, all types of face masks have some kind of a cleansing action. A variety of constituents are used in making these masks, based on the type of the skin. Clay makes an essential part of various face masks. They help to take away grime, sebum, and dead skin so that your skin looks dirt free, soft and young.
Fuller's earth is a unique type of mud often used in face packs. It has aluminum silicate. As the mud dries on the face, it soaks up the external dead cells and takes away any extra oil on the skin. It is for that reason superb for an oily skin but should not be applied on dry skin. Kaolin is also excellent clay which has been mixed for tummy spots because it soaks up toxins from the skin. It removes dirt, oils as well as dead cells. Kaolin is also excellent for oily skin and should not apply on dry skin.
