Poetry is visceral. There is no "right" way to write poems. Poem is a fluid medium and trialing is a part of the structure of poems. Unlike novels or movies, poems of love are an ancient form. Our most primitive recorded works are poetic. Only the sketching of pictures on cave walls precedes poems. For a form of art like poetry to survive that long, it must be fluid. It must allocate the changes. Leonard Cohen says: "Poetry is just the evidence of life.  If your life is burning well, poetry is just the ash."

Cute Poems
Love poems are just like the journal of the sea creatures living on land, desiring to fly in the sky. A poem is a search for syllables to fire at the walls of the unknown and the unknowable. Poems of love are a ghost script telling how rainbows are created and why they head off. In the words of Kahlil Gibran: "Poetry is a deal of joy and pain and wonder, with a dash of the dictionary."  To Aristotle, poetry is more than history, since it captures love that has been and would be. Yes poems of love depict the past with present and describe the future also. The difference between historian and poet is not in the one writing prose and the other verse... the one portrays the thing that has been, and the other a sort of thing that might be.  Hence love poems show something more of an attitude and of much more importance than history, since its accounts are of the nature rather of universals, while those of history are singulars.
